About The Position

UT Tyler School of Medicine - UT Health East Texas is searching for a full-time Faculty BE/BC OB/GYN physician to join the established clinic in Athens, TX. About the Position: Current team is 1 OBG; 9 Family Practitioners also practicing OB Market calls for 1,000 deliveries annually DaVinci GYN surgery available Excellent communication skills, bilingual (preferred) Team oriented and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a growing academic environment 20-25 patients per day Monday-Thursday FT--Friday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. 50% Outpatient/ 50% Inpatient A 15-bed, Level I nursery, if needed A dedicated surgery suite for cesarean sections Eight private postpartum rooms Epidural pain management Interpreters and/or language access services Lactation education Live online birthing classes Nine large labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) rooms Smart Technology: See more patients without extending your day. Our providers use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to better work-life balance and revenue.
