About The Position

The Faculty Manager, Nursing Education has operational oversight of up to 10 lead faculty and supports the facilitation of distance education incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in the discipline by promoting an interdisciplinary approach to nursing education and healthcare delivery. The incumbent will be accountable for the function’s delivery of the nursing curriculum in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and purposes of the Program. The Faculty Manager, Nursing Education is accountable for function’s successful attainment of key performance indicators, program and functional outcomes, and the success of the College’s mission.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an MSN
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in administrative leadership
  • Minimum of three years teaching in post-secondary nursing program with at least one year in concept-based nursing education, distance education, and clinical education
  • Minimum of five years of experience in clinical nursing
  • Active, unencumbered RN license from state of residence and ability to obtain RN licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College, including a valid multi-state license
  • Demonstrated five years of experience in institutional and programmatic accreditation processes
  • Proficiency in at least one learning management system (LMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), and other technology platforms related to the delivery of online nursing education
  • Ability, willingness, and availability to perform needed responsibilities throughout the three academic semesters each calendar year

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the nursing faculty, based on established Programs and College policies
  • Onboards, develops, and precepts faculty to increase alignment within the function and College
  • Audits job performance to ensure policies and procedures are followed in facilitating distance and clinical education and provides feedback and coaching to develop faculty
  • Facilitates courses as needed by the College
  • Collaborates with other College collaborators and faculty to meet academic, programmatic, and organizational outcomes
  • Learns and adapts to innovative technologies that are utilized within the College to facilitate the curriculum and enhance the learning experience
  • Contributes to institutional accreditation activities
  • Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise
