About The Position

Kutztown University of Pennsylvania enrolls approximately 7,500 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs.Located in a charming rural setting in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, the University is just a 20-minute drive from the metropolitan areas of Allentown/Bethlehem and Reading, and about an hour from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The University seeks to hire employees with experience working with diverse populations. Kutztown University of Pennsylvania's Department of Sports Medicine seeks applications for a part-time, temporary, non-teaching Faculty Athletic Trainer. This is a 10-hour/week position which will be almost exclusively weekends. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assist with the delivery of the Sports Medicine Services program to NCAA student-athletes; evaluation and management of athletic injuries; supervision of student employees; ability to work collaboratively with the University's Health and Wellness Services' clinical staff, team physicians and various campus departments and community resources in the delivery of comprehensive health care to students; providing game and practice coverage, as well as other duties assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. A successful interview and demonstration of abilities is required. This is a nine-month position and begins August 30, 2025, or as soon as filled after that date. Salary is competitive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with BOC certification and PA licensure, or eligible
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Computer, verbal, and written communication skills are essential

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree in Athletic Training or a related field is preferred.
