About The Position

The Faculty Affairs Administrator will support the faculty in all phases including credentialing, recruitment, on-boarding and compliance. Assist with management and delivery of faculty affairs and human resources services for the College (training and development, recruiting, faculty leaves and compensation). Manage a variety of faculty-related administrative procedures including faculty appointments, promotion and tenure, and the annual review of academic departments. Interpret and develop procedures to meet College, University, federal and state employment laws and guidelines. Utilizes technology and other innovative methods to actively recruit all faculty, inclusive of clinical and tenure track personnel, as well as a subset of researchers, as needed. On boards, off boards, and administers leaves for faculty, and manages the visiting scholar, visiting professor processes and faculty visa issues, when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of related experience including experience working on academic/faculty projects and human resources experience (e.g. recruitment, employee relations) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, interviewing, problem solving and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of basic human resources concepts, practices, legislation, and procedures.
  • Excellent problem solving and computer/technical skills.
  • Ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies and procedures to a diverse employee population and to supervise work processes and staff.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet applications and strong knowledge of database applications.
