About The Position

The Factory Controller role involves comprehensive financial oversight within a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include executing core controlling functions, collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial data, and supporting monthly forecasting and annual budget development. The position requires building business cases for capital and operational expenditures and proactively identifying financial risks and opportunities. The Controller will develop and apply analytical tools for data-driven decision-making, aligning financial efforts with strategic objectives. Collaboration with factory leadership and cross-functional teams is essential for providing financial insights and presenting findings to senior stakeholders. The role also involves leading monthly financial review meetings, preparing reports for senior management, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and J-SOX standards. Furthermore, the Factory Controller will document and enforce finance processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation and transformation efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven +10 years of experience in financial business partnering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and analytical tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communicator and team player with the ability to multitask and plan efficiently.
  • Self-starter focused on outcomes and professional growth in an international and ambitious environment.
  • Demonstrates ownership, accountability, and high standards of integrity in financial matters.

Responsibilities

  • Execute core factory controlling responsibilities to ensure robust financial oversight.
  • Collect, analyze, and report financial data related to factory operations.
  • Support monthly IC revenue, CM, EBIT forecasting, and annual budget development.
  • Build business cases for capital and operational expenditures.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities proactively.
  • Develop and apply analytical tools to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Align financial efforts with strategic objectives across functions.
  • Partner with factory leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead monthly financial review meetings to support accurate forecasting.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with Vanderlande’s financial policies and J-SOX standards.
  • Document and enforce finance processes aligned with global practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and change management projects.
  • Support process automation and transformation efforts in collaboration with the D&A and Transformation Office.
