Job Title: Facilities Technician (Electrician) Job Code: 32544 Job Location: Orange, Virginia Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description: This position will report directly to the Associate Manager of Facilities, under general supervision of the Facilities Manager. This position would be the 1st shift, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM on the 9/80 standard schedule, but must be available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and be on call as required. The Facility Technician (Electrician) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities, and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Virginia Journeyman electrician license strongly preferred.
  • Training from a trade school is a plus.
  • Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting.
  • Proficient computer skills (such as MS Outlook, Word and Excel) desired.
  • Very safety and environmentally conscious.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Maintenance - Work with, troubleshoot and repair plant manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment.
  • Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (such as upgraded electrical panels, transformers, generators, etc.).
  • 6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.
