About The Position

The YMCA is looking for dedicated individuals to join our Maintenance Staff. As a key member of our team, you’ll play an essential role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. From ensuring equipment is in top condition to keeping our facilities spotless, your work will directly contribute to the well-being and experience of our community. The Jackson R. Lehman Family YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive part-time Facility Support Assistant person to join our team to perform janitorial duties (ie. bathrooms, windows, floors, trash, detail cleaning, etc.) that maintain a clean environment and freshly stocked facility.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
If 18 or older, a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Reliable transportation to attend work.
Ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize locker rooms and other assigned areas of the building.
Clean and maintain floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
Perform various duties such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry, reporting mechanical issues, snow removal, and maintaining entrances and staff offices.
As a member of the maintenance team you should build relationships with members, support all staff, be positive, friendly, and helpful
