About The Position

HWI has a fantastic opportunity to join our Quality Team as a Facility Quality Assurance Technician. Summary The Facility Quality Assurance Technician supports HWI’s mission and vision to drive industry performance and deliver quality results. This role focus is on the actual testing of product and raw materials, judging samples against standards and accurately enters data into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). A successful candidate will maintain high level of accuracy and engagement to guide HWI towards achieving and exceeding their objectives.

Requirements

• Requires high school diploma and one (1) year of college education or technical training with emphasis on math and science.
• Requires computer operation aptitude (MS Office and LIMS system or similar products).
• Requires abilities to follow directions, provide innovative solutions, and both work independently or as a team member.
• Requires knowledge of refractory industry and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify in process production.
• Performs physical testing of finished goods.
• Performs final inspections.
• Enters LIMS data into appropriate systems and judges acceptability of product.
• Screens analysis of raw materials and mixes.
• Sample preparation.
• Performs additional testing as required.
