The centers provide campus-based direct services and supports at 13 centers located throughout the state. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Administration, performs routine or entry-level accounting work to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll adjustments and salary overpayment recoupments for State Supported Living Center employees. Coordinates with various units within the agency and external to the agency to resolve any discrepancies identified. Coordinates with supervisory personnel to identify salary overpayments and initiate the process for the collection and return of funds to the State Treasury. Work involves preparing and/or overseeing the preparation of financial analyses and reports. Communicates with Department employees and supervisory personnel concerning various payroll related issues. Work is performed under general direction with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement within the limits of applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
