About The Position

QED Systems, LLC is currently recruiting a Facility Operations Specialist, to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, in support of our C5ISR Center HQ Operations Support contract. Duties: Provides facilities management, to include all C5ISR Center locations at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Facility management includes a full range of electrical, mechanical, and civil maintenance services. Such services include minor alterations, building maintenance /improvement /repair, landscaping and snow removal, HVAC repair services, and oversight of facility operations. Organizes and plans maintenance tasks for restoring and maintaining C5ISR equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. Maintenance shall be conducted in accordance with equipment documentation, applicable technical specifications, and industry standard sound maintenance techniques and practices. Develops recommendations and analysis for repair cost estimates. Performs on-site and off-site maintenance tasks for all systems. Collects and processes operational and maintenance data for special reports and requests for information. Required Skills & Experience: Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven technical and program experience in one or more construction or facilities operation projects. Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction in specialized task areas. Required Clearance: ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret Qualifications: Associates degree or 2-year technical school with three (3) years of experience in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration required. HS/GED and ten (10) years of relevant experience may substitute a degree. Forklift Operator Certification required. Travel: Less than 10% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations. Work Environment: This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, and/or warehouse/maintenance shops. Physical Demands: Physical demands of this position include ability to: Be independently mobile. Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers. Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use. Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands. Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as glasses/goggles (eyes), ear plugs/muffs (hearing), hard hats, and breathing respirators/masks. Operate powered vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc. Lift/push/pull objects weighing more than 50 pounds. Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours. Requirements
