About The Position

This position provides daily and long-range supervision and direction in maintaining and improving conditions of the golf course at the Ridges at Village Creek golf course. Job duties include supervising the golf course maintenance staff, providing on-site supervision of mowing, watering, and fertilizing of the golf course, supervising equipment maintenance and repairs, preparing and approving work schedules, training staff, constant monitoring of turfgrass systems during the growing season, ensuring proper water, nutrient, and disease prevention levels and operation and maintenance of pumping and irrigation systems - including program scheduling, assisting in repairs and winterization. Must have knowledge of usage and application of fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, herbicides, and miscellaneous chemicals such as surfactants and growth regulators. Must possess or be able to obtain pesticide license within 3 months of employment. Must be a member in good standing with the GCSAA and/or PGA of America. Applicant must be able to work a varied shift including weekends and some holidays. A driver's record check will be performed. Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of facility management experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in turf management or related area, and two years in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Applicants with a college degree in agronomy, horticulture or related field and specialized training in turf management are preferred
