About The Position

Primary Purpose of Position:  This position provides manual labor that supports the general repair and preventative maintenance related to buildings, grounds, and equipment, as well as office moves and meeting room set-up/tear-downs, and minor construction repairs and upgrades.

Requirements

  • Basic plumbing knowledge, including unclogging drains and identifying leaks
  • Skill in operating ladders, lifts, and other building maintenance equipment
  • Skill in safe lifting techniques and proper use of material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, dollies)
  • Ability to perform minor carpentry repairs (door adjustments, ceiling tiles, hardware replacement)
  • Ability to build walls from start to finish, add doors or doorways
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and scheduling
  • Physical strength and ability sufficient to meet job requirements for extended periods under uncomfortable conditions in all types of weather
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to apply rules and regulations applicable to safe performance within building sites
  • Ability to recognize and report safety hazards promptly
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards relevant to general facility maintenance
  • Ability to follow established procedures while adapting to unexpected facility needs
  • Reliability in completing assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service mindset when responding to facility requests
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team during projects and moves
  • Professional demeanor when entering workspaces and interacting with employees
  • Education and/or experience in the performance of a variety of manual tasks that are directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices in the field.
  • Must be able to travel as needed to perform job duties.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma with two (2) years of building maintenance or general construction/remodeling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Courier: Routinely courier interoffice mail and other items between all of the Partners locations.
  • Basic Maintenance: Performs basic maintenance tasks as needed, including monthly inspections to assess maintenance needs; assists the Facility Manager in investigations regarding facility complaints.
  • Painting and Construction: Performs touch-up painting, drywall, and minor construction upgrades continuously throughout the Corporate Headquarters and other facilities as directed.
  • Electrical: Troubleshoots light fixtures, receptacles, and replaces burnt-out bulbs and 120v electrical components as needed.
  • Safety: Performs building inspections monthly to ensure safety and security.
  • Projects: Assist the Facility Manager with projects; contact vendors for price quotes and gather data for final project bids.
  • Provides departmental support and performs other related work as assigned.
