By joining District 6 as a Facility Maintenance Worker II, you’ll have the opportunity to perform general maintenance and various janitorial duties in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment or serves as a lead worker in general maintenance and upkeep of a facility for counties supporting District 6. Summary of Responsibilities: Serves as lead worker in maintaining the buildings, grounds and equipment Carries out janitorial duties to maintain the building. Learns to install and repair heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems. Repairs leaks and unclogs drains. Performs maintenance duties throughout the district. Coordinates with external vendors and Central Office for service calls. Performs interior and exterior painting of facilities. Keeps records of equipment servicing and maintenance schedules. Ideal candidate will have experience in: General maintenance and janitorial duties in upkeeping buildings, grounds and equipment. Troubleshooting and performing minor facility repairs. Requirements

  • EDUCATION: NONE
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.
