About The Position

Grove is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to work with the Operations leadership team at their new Reno Fulfillment Center located in the Lemmon Valley area. This role is considered a go-to valuable resource responsible for maintenance, mechanical repair, and overall building upkeep to ensure a safe environment. This person builds rapport with vendors and internal teams to keep the building running safely and smoothly. This is a part-time, fill-in role averaging under 30 hours per week, supporting maintenance needs within the FC as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of reach truck experience
  • Must be certified in the use of forklift and material handling equipment
  • At least 2 years of experience working with conveyors
  • At least 2 years of experience working with hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills (email, inputting and resolving tickets, etc.)
  • Basic building maintenance skills (painting, replacing/repairing outlets, etc.)
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Able to work legally in the United States
  • Pass a background check

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair as needed warehouse equipment including pack stations, racking, material handling equipment, pick carts, safety equipment, flex conveyors, automated conveyor system, fans & porta-coolers, floor scrubber, IT infrastructure and equipment
  • Maintain, repair, install and upgrade facilities hardware such as doors, lighting, walls, safety railing, guard rails, dock doors, dock plates, floors, restrooms, plumbing, and basic electrical (outlets and wall switches)
  • Manage all outside vendor relationships such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, material handling services and repair, warehouse equipment specialists, locksmiths, construction contractors, and waste management in partnership with the Operations Manager
  • Partner with the Safety Lead, custodial staff, and front office departments to promote and ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform routine safety inspections on fire extinguishers and safety equipment
  • Notify management of mechanical problems with the compactor or dumpsters that are not picked up as scheduled
  • Alert management of any mechanical failures of equipment, damage to equipment or the facility, or any other unsafe conditions
