About The Position

U-Haul is seeking a highly motivated Facility Maintenance Technician to collaborate with other technicians on complex projects, sharing and learning valuable skills. This role involves using technical skills to inspect, maintain, and build new buildings, perform general maintenance, installation, repair, and service, as well as preventive maintenance and semiannual roof inspections at various sites. U-Haul offers immediate start and same-day pay, along with a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 cash bonus upon completion of their 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program. Founded in 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households, recognizing and acting upon the widespread need for one-way, nationwide moving equipment after World War II.

Requirements

Experience in any of the following areas: electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
Valid driver’s license
D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)

Responsibilities

Inspect, maintain and build new buildings.
Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections at various sites.
Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools.
Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects.
Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
Keep track of company truck and gas card.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
