About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Technician supports facility and equipment maintenance activities, including electrical, mechanical, and general building systems. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment while supporting daily plant operations.

Requirements

  • Electrical systems troubleshooting and repair
  • Mechanical systems maintenance
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret machine prints and diagrams
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Honest, dependable, and reliable.
  • Must provide own basic hand tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and perform physical tasks throughout a 12‑hour shift.
  • Ability to work from heights, including climbing ladders and operating lifts.
  • Ability to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reactions.
  • Ability to work in high‑noise environments.
  • Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Pneumatic systems experience (preferred)
  • Plumbing experience (preferred)
  • HVAC experience (preferred)
  • Forklift operation experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks in accordance with federal, state, and company safety policies.
  • Work safely at all times and comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Apply knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Arc Flash procedures.
  • Assist with electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Perform manual labor tasks as assigned.
  • Operate forklifts and scissor lifts safely and as trained.
  • Read and interpret machine prints, diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Use basic computer systems for work orders, documentation, and communication.
  • Attend department meetings, plant meetings, and required training sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by maintenance leadership.
