Facility Maintenance Technician - Decatur, AL
About The Position
Turner Industries Group is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician for our Decatur, AL office. This position's primary responsibility is to keep the Decatur facilities functional and safe. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and experience using computers. This position is also responsible for: Maintaining buildings, grounds, and associated equipment with the properties Buildings and grounds maintenance Inspections, monthly / yearly on fire, and safety equipment. Utilities, Plumbing, Security and Gate access. HVAC, change filters, clean units per schedule. Coordinate repairs. Building lighting, electrical system and network wiring maintenance and repairs. Ground maintenance-parking lot grading, lighting, and cleaning. Coordinate landscaping, grasscutting, weed eating & spraying. Bush hog property as needed. Monitor janitorial service which includes bathrooms and office areas. Schedule, perform and document all necessary preventative maintenance plans. Manage contractor repairs for buildings and grounds. Schedule shipping of any packages or freight departing the facility. Physical/Mental Involvement: Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
