Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Ability to perform manual labor and use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new maintenance techniques and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well within a team.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Flexibility to perform tasks outside the primary skill set, such as light equipment operation, carpentry, painting, and locksmith duties.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and the use of personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance tasks for plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and other facilities equipment, under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of grounds, including landscaping, to ensure a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.
• Support the maintenance team in various tasks, including light equipment operation, carpentry, painting, and locksmith work.
• Participate in routine inspections and assessments to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks and projects.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and completed tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with village residents and staff.
