About The Position

The Facility Maintenance Technician, HVAC is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and coordinating all of the mechanical and electrical systems in the facility for daily operations and event-related needs.

  • High School Diploma (H. S.) and two to three years of specialized schooling; and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor chillers, boilers, and cooling towers daily to ensure all readings remain within required parameters.
  • Coordinate HVAC and lighting schedules based on building operations and event needs.
  • Maintain the facility's Air Handling Units (AHUs), promptly identifying and correcting any errors.
  • Develop and follow a routine maintenance schedule to conduct hands-on inspections of the central utilities plant, fire pump room, and fountain pump room, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Utilize the Operator's Station to review system logs, monitor trends, analyze history, and track totalization data for HVAC, lighting, fire protection, and irrigation systems.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and maintain HVAC, lighting, and irrigation systems according to the requirements outlined in the daily operations plan, event agendas, and function reports.
  • Collaborate with management to coordinate, administer, and oversee vendor service contracts related to the facility's mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement regular testing and inspection routines for boilers, backflow prevention devices, fire protection stations, meters, and other critical equipment to ensure compliance and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, such as replacing washers in faucets, repairing burst pipes, and clearing clogged drains.
  • Weld and install holding fixtures to steel structural members as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during events to prevent disruptions to operations or guest experiences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
