About The Position

The Facility and Maintenance Supervisor directs the maintenance and custodial program in order to maintain all facilities, grounds and equipment in a sanitary, functional, attractive and orderly condition. This position also supervises assigned maintenance and custodial staff. LIMITATIONS OF AUTHORITY: The Facility and Maintenance Supervisor confers with the Administrator or General Services Director before initiating expenditures of more than $500 cost. In the absence of the Administrator / Region Director or General Services Director, the Facility and Maintenance Supervisor may initiate emergency repairs not to exceed $1,000.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum five years’ experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and/or painting.
Minimum one year supervisory experience.
Broad knowledge of construction, repair, maintenance and service procedures, practices, problems and compliance, including procurement, cost-benefit analysis and cost control, also landscaping and mechanical systems preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Must provide a current motor vehicle record.
Must submit to a motor vehicle record check on an as needed basis and must maintain a satisfactory driving record that is within the limitations of PMS Human Resources Policy II.D.3, Automobile Usage, and applicable state and federal laws.
Must comply with PMS Policies on Automobile Usage, II.D.3, Drug Free Workplace, III.H and applicable state and federal laws.
May be required to complete transportation related trainings.
NOTE: Because this position is assigned a PMS vehicle, not required to provide current personal owner liability automobile insurance.
