The YMCA facility housekeeping team set the stage for exceptional service by keeping the Y facility clean and inviting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One-year relevant experience
- Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of performance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions and use knowledge in maintenance and care of finished surfaces
Responsibilities
- Keeps assigned area clean and clear for all YMCA participants
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, and mopping
- Assists in set-up for meetings and/or special events
- Monitor and maintain cleaning: storage rooms, offices, kitchen, bathrooms
- Assist with laundry functions as needed
- Respond to accidents, spills, and other housekeeping emergencies
