About The Position

Our Y is looking for a dedicated individual to join our building/facility housekeeping team. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Facility Housekeeping Staff will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all members, guests, and staff at the CCA YMCA, any other facility designated to be CCA YMCA responsibility, and Camp Merrywood, as directed.

Requirements

Applicant must be 18 years of age
Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Must have or obtain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications within 60 days of employment
Ability to work with and around staff, guests, members, and other stakeholders while providing a welcoming atmosphere and good customer service
Communication skills including familiarity with communication devices such as walkie-talkies

Nice To Haves

Bi-lingual preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Primary functions of housekeeping and cleanliness of facilities including, but not limited to, waste, cleaning, and sanitation of all rooms
Frequent checks throughout a shift of the locker rooms and restrooms checking for safety, hygiene, and cleanliness concerns/issues
Check the buildings exterior for cleanliness, lawn maintenance, and other cosmetic and safety needs or concerns
Complete Preventive Maintenance measures as indicated by the Preventive Maintenance calendar
Monitor the program designated by CCA YMCA for orders for repairs (such as Facility Dude) and resolve issues based on priority levels
Maintain communication with the Member Services Desk and address safety, hygiene, and cleanliness concerns from members and staff
Carry a communication device (such as a walkie-talkie) from clock in to clock out
Perform special cleaning projects as directed based on the needs of the organization and the circumstances such as building remodel, weather conditions, etc.
Maintains a cleaning log as directed
Performs other duties as assigned
