About The Position

Nuro is seeking a Facility Coordinator to oversee and maintain our campus operations. This is an essential, on-site position responsible for ensuring our physical spaces are safe, functional, and representative of Nuro’s high standards. The Coordinator supports our mission by maintaining high operational uptime across our Mountain View and Santa Clara locations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience with an emphasis on commercial facility maintenance, electrical systems, and building repairs.
  • Technical Skills: Strong build/carpentry skills (hanging, mounting, and furniture assembly).
  • Proficiency in flooring, drywall, plaster, and painting repair.
  • Ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to change light bulbs/ballasts and perform general electrical upkeep.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction plans, safety rules, and SOPs.
  • Competency in writing routine reports and professional correspondence.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be physically capable of bending, squatting, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to move heavier items with mechanical assistance or as part of a team lift.
  • Professionalism: Strong professional reliability and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure or during conflict.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel between the Mountain View and Santa Clara campuses.
  • As a Facility Coordinator, your physical presence on-site is essential to supporting the safety and productivity of our team.
  • This is an hourly role requiring a consistent schedule to meet campus operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations: Coordinate and execute facility tasks to ensure campus readiness and provide timely responses to Jira Ticket requests.
  • Campus Coverage: Split time effectively between HQ (1290/1300 Terra Bella) and Molinaro (3100 Molinaro) sites as scheduled.
  • System Maintenance: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems; manage building management systems (BMS).
  • Inspections: Perform regular facility audits and inspections to identify and resolve conditions affecting operations.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee the janitorial vendor to ensure performance meets contract standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure Life Safety and Paths of Egress are maintained at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with City, County, and State ordinances/codes.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with the Workplace Coordinator and EHS Team on new programs, projects, and facility inquiries.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to facility-related emergencies and support after-hours building needs as required (subject to hourly compensation guidelines).
