About The Position

The NYC Department of Design and Construction, Division of Public Buildings, seeks a Facility Architectural Assessor. The candidate will be responsible for conducting condition assessments in City-owned buildings. The selected candidate will assess the physical condition of the exterior and interior building components and the building’s overall code compliance, sustainability and resiliency and outline immediate and potential problem areas so that informed decisions can be made, and priorities can be set. Coordinate and advise on the ADA surveys being performed simultaneously to synthesize findings. Candidate will record existing conditions; provide code and local laws analysis and prepare facility assessment reports suitable for sponsor agency budget planning purposes. Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. NYC Department of Design and Construction does not provide sponsorship for international employees. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Registration as an Architect is required.
  • Candidates must have six ( 6 ) years of full-time paid experience in architectural work, at least two (2) years of which shall have been as an administrative architect.
