Facilities Technician - MGM Grand
About The Position
As a Facilities Technician at MGM Grand, you’ll play a vital role in keeping one of Las Vegas’ most iconic resorts running at its best. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform predictive maintenance, reactive repairs, and installation work across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the building and plant. Every task is completed in alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company and department standards, helping ensure safety, reliability, and the overall integrity of the facility guests and team members rely on every day.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in the hospitality industry or similar environment
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
Nice To Haves
- Prior maintenance engineer experience in a hotel or industrial complex preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform routine to complex maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment and systems throughout the property; complete all work assignments as directed by Dispatch or Management and maintain accurate logbooks
- Use diagnostic tools, including amp meters, voltmeters, ohm meters, compound gauges, and pressure gauges, to identify and troubleshoot electrical, power, and gas issues
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics to properly install, repair, and service electrical components
- Maintain knowledge of the property layout, including hotel rooms, equipment locations, and systems
