About The Position

The Facilities Technician plays a critical role in ensuring ChildCareGroup’s centers and offices remain safe, functional, and welcoming for children, families, and staff. This position supports day‑to‑day operations through hands‑on repairs, routine maintenance, and facility inspections across multiple locations. By maintaining high facility standards, the Facilities Technician helps strengthen the environments where learning and support services take place.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; trade school coursework or certifications in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or facilities maintenance preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in general building maintenance or related skilled trades.
• Ability to perform basic to intermediate repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general facility systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, the ability to work independently across multiple sites, and proficiency with tools, equipment, and basic technology.
• Reliable transportation, strong communication skills, customer‑service mindset, and alignment with CCG’s values and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs—including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and facility upkeep—across multiple CCG locations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, troubleshoot issues, and complete safe, effective repairs.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and support preventative maintenance to identify potential hazards or needed repairs.
• Maintain building systems such as lighting, HVAC filters, door hardware, flooring, and minor appliances; assist with classroom setup and light groundskeeping.
• Coordinate with approved vendors, maintain tools and supplies, and ensure accurate work‑order documentation.
