About The Position

The Mechanical Technician / Facilities Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on both industrial equipment and general plant facilities. This position combines technical skills in industrial mechanics with general facility maintenance tasks, ensuring the proper operation, cleanliness, and safety of all equipment and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or equivalent in Industrial Mechanics, Maintenance, Electromechanics, or related field.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in industrial or mechanical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, air compressors, chillers, and plumbing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Skilled in the use of mechanical and measuring tools.
  • Physically capable of performing manual work and lifting safely.
  • Proactive, organized, and safety-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Availability to work in different areas or shifts as needed, and to assist on extra days if required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain motors, rollers, valves, solenoid valves, bearings, transmissions, resistors, and general mechanical components.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical failures to minimize production downtime.
  • Fabricate and install bushings, guards, metal structures, and safety protections.
  • Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Perform lubrication, adjustments, alignments, and calibrations as required.
  • Operate and use HMIs, sensors, and basic electrical components.
  • Carry out general facility maintenance tasks such as: Cleaning the parking area. Servicing and operating the sanitizing machine. Replacing batteries in exit signs. Cleaning cobwebs, walls, and ceilings. Performing minor repairs in plumbing, painting, electrical work, and carpentry.
  • Install and maintain racks, structures, conduits, and safety guards.
  • Perform maintenance on air compressors, chillers, and water or plumbing lines.
  • Support continuous improvement and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free, conducting regular inspections for leaks, damages, or potential risks.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools such as drills, grinders, rotary hammers, welding equipment, and measuring instruments.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety departments to ensure continuous and safe operation of the facilities.
