ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensures all mechanical/electrical equipment including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing and heating, supporting agency facilities is maintained and functioning properly. Makes necessary repairs and/or performs maintenance, or contacts approved contractors as needed. 2. Performs general carpentry, repairs, and painting on Agency buildings and grounds. 3. Performs basic grounds maintenance, which may include, but is not limited to, snow removal, sanding, salting, and general upkeep. 4. Monitors building systems to assure proper working order; maintains maintenance logs of systems. 5. Moves furniture, equipment, files and responds to requests for services from employees. 6. Maintains product inventory and orders supplies; cleaning chemicals, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, as necessary etc. 7. Assists Facilities Manager in supervising the work of volunteers; maintenance workers; custodian and oversees bus drivers assigned to custodian activities at ACAP facilities. 8. Monitors agency SDS system for chemicals kept on site. 9. Liaison for vendors when accessing the office to conduct scheduled services. 10. Works closely with the Facilities Manager informed of problems or unusual situations that may require preventative care. 11. Travels as necessary to other locations for maintenance and/or delivers supplies. 12. Supports Agency initiatives to deliver programs and services and meet our mission.
