About The Position

This position is responsible for the general upkeep, functionality, and appearance of Groendyke Transport, Inc.’s properties and company fleet in Enid, Oklahoma. The role involves performing a wide range of hands-on maintenance tasks—including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and vehicle-related repairs—as well as coordinating with outside vendors to ensure timely completion of larger projects. The individual in this role plays a key part in preserving the company’s physical assets, ensuring a safe and professional environment for employees and visitors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general facility maintenance or related handyman work
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to read basic blueprints, instructions, or repair manuals
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to use digital tools for vendor communication, invoice tracking, and work orders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in light vehicle servicing, including routine inspections and small repairs
  • Exposure to multiple trade areas such as HVAC, drywall, or low-voltage electrical
  • Experience supporting corporate facilities, including multi-building or multi-use sites
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical systems
  • Experience using maintenance tracking systems, digital work orders, or inventory tools

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of assigned properties, including opening and closing procedures
  • Conduct daily property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper function
  • Perform general building maintenance and repairs, including light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting
  • Complete small-scale construction and repair tasks such as tile replacement, door hardware repair, and patching leaks
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance and minor service on fleet vehicles, including fluid checks, battery replacement, and other light repairs
  • Coordinate larger or specialized repairs through external vendors
  • Respond promptly to internal maintenance requests and resolve basic operational issues
  • Maintain supplies and materials for maintenance tasks; monitor usage and reorder as needed
  • Replace consumables such as light bulbs, air filters, and batteries
  • Assist with setting up or breaking down furniture and equipment for meetings, relocations, or company events
  • Review and approve invoices related to maintenance and repair work
  • Support seasonal maintenance efforts such as winterization, storm clean-up, and exterior upkeep
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
