About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of the facility, including routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of building systems and equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with facility infrastructure such as HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and general building maintenance. In addition, the technician should have experience in the maintenance and basic troubleshooting of electronic manufacturing machinery, ensuring operational reliability and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics, and a proactive approach to facility and equipment care in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Familiar with OSHA regulations and compliance with current Local and State health and safety regulations
  • Compliance with company safety policies and procedures focused on the protection, health and safety of employees and visitors.
  • Experience with maintaining manufacturing facilities
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to perform light electrical work, including installing outlets, lighting, and running conduit
  • Basic HVAC troubleshooting, filter replacements, and support of small system repairs
  • Skilled in drywall patching, painting, basic carpentry, and general facility repairs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PLC systems and basic controls is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with the EHS & Facilities Manager on work priorities, equipment status, and maintenance needs
  • Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety policies
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs or project support
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, and facility issues to minimize disruption to operations
  • Perform general building maintenance tasks including wall repair, painting, flooring, and door/hardware adjustments
  • Assist with basic HVAC tasks such as filter replacements, thermostat calibration, and minor duct or condensate line repairs
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and other production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operation
