About The Position
Nexus Family Healing is hiring a Facilities Technician I at its East Bethel Campus located in East Methel, MN. Position Summary: Our Facilities Technician I maintains the appearance, structure and safety of our buildings, vehicles, and grounds, as well as performs general facility maintenance tasks. Teach maintenance and renovation skills to residents at sites where vocational training programs are in place.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- 2 years related work experience in building maintenance, construction or a related trade.
- Must possess proven skills in at least 2 of the following areas: plumbing, woodworking, general electrical, vehicle maintenance or landscaping.
- Must have the ability to meet Life Safety codes.
- Must have the ability to build strong relationships with diverse individuals or communities and understand their unique needs and challenges.
- Must be open to meeting the cultural needs of individuals or communities, considering factors such as language, traditions, and values.
- Valid driver’s license required. Must meet state regulating agency and Home Office driving requirements
Nice To Haves
- 3+ years’ experience with building maintenance, construction, or related trade.
Responsibilities
- Maintain buildings, grounds, and facility vehicles
- Perform basic repairs, landscaping, and furniture upkeep
- Assist with construction and equipment troubleshooting
- Ensure safety compliance and support vocational training programs
- Recognize and value cultural differences in all aspects of work and service delivery
