About The Position

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks and equipment repair. Requires moderate physical exertion, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates ability to read and write English of a level required to fulfill essential job functions.
  • Mechanically inclined with 2+ years of experience in a Facilities Technician role or equivalent.
  • Experienced in hazmat duties
  • Able to use hand and power tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, hammers, etc.).
  • Be able to safely operate all company vehicles and industrial vehicles, be insurable and have a California’s Driver’s License.
  • Requires moderate physical exertion including lifting, bending and considerable time standing. (50 pounds)
  • Must communicate to appropriate personnel any problems or concerns regarding the maintenance of clean and safe working conditions or any janitorial duty situation that might affect production.
  • Proficient at housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment throughout the facility insofar as cleanliness is concerned. Knowledge of driver safety and safe cleaning procedures is required. Adherence to Company safety rules is mandatory. Protective safety equipment and clothing appropriate to the task at hand is required.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Able to work on ladder, in confined spaces, and in outdoor weather conditions. Able to reach, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, crawl and climb. Able to detect odors. Capable of driving a forklift. Able to transport self and equipment to all plant locations required by essential job functions.
  • This position requires access to information, or technology, which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Responsibilities

  • Observe equipment in operation to prevent/diagnose potential problems.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove, repair and replace defective or worn parts.
  • Install, repair, or rebuild equipment and replace ordinary parts as necessary.
  • Responsible for keeping machinery, equipment and facility in good repair
  • Perform electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic system repairs to facility and production equipment, including HVAC and refrigeration.
  • Able to understand general construction drawings. (plumbing, hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, etc.)
  • Maintain and service plumbing, gas, air, drains and wastewater systems.
  • Works with a high degree of autonomy and minimal supervision to support production priorities.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or directed.
