About The Position

At Getinge, the Facilities Technician II works under direct supervision to perform maintenance of building facilities and support equipment, as well as hazardous waste support. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Hazardous Waste Coordinator Certification.
A minimum of two years hands on maintenance experience with electrical skills.
Must have a strong knowledge of tools, materials, methods and practices in general building maintenance.
Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
Must be able to identify problems or potential problems and take initiative to correct them.
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
A general knowledge of custodial functions including (but not limited to) electrical, carpentry, custodial, etc.

Responsibilities

Performs basic repair for building systems, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, structural and cosmetic.
Performs basic building and grounds maintenance.
Assist with ice and snow removal on walkways to ensure safety standards.
Interact with cleaning company to assure cleaning needs are met.
Help maintain HVAC system.
Provide backup coverage for Custodial Assistant job duties.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
Perform other related duties as required.
Support hazardous waste activities.
