About The Position

In this role you will: Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on production equipment and tools in a just-in-time environment. Perform scheduled, preventative and emergency technician tasks and projects as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or their designee Location: Edgerton KS Pay: $25.59 Reports to: Manager/Operations KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Performs maintenance inspections and repairs for the distribution facility as needed. Possesses the basic mechanical and technical skills to accomplish the required machine maintenance. Immediate repair of any facility equipment as needed. Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs. Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for chemical handling. Assists in planned and unplanned downtime projects, shutdowns, and emergency work. Participates in internal and external audits or inspections Ensure product manufacturing runs smoothly without significant interruptions. Work closely with Regulatory Compliance regarding food safety. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Follow health and safety practices as they apply to area of work and the facility Perform appropriate housekeeping tasks as needed Other responsibilities as assigned. Tools and Equipment: Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Forklifts, electric and manual floor jacks, dollies, computer, pencil, markers, cardboard, bump hat, ear plugs, and hair net. Safety glasses are optional. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The candidate must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, crawl, climb stairs/ladders, and be able to lift to a maximum of 50 pounds SELECTION CRITERIA Education Technical degree preferred High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience At minimum, five years’ experience in food manufacturing. Requirements

  • Technical degree preferred
