About The Position

To assist Sr Manager, NC Facility Operations with facility maintenance and repair projects including carpentry, minor electrical, minor plumbing and installing or repairing locks.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of facilities maintenance or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance and building systems, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work at heights and around operational equipment when required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment as required for maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • High energy level and strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule that may include nights and weekends.
  • This position is designated as on-site at the Orlando, FL campus and requires the employee to be physically present to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic carpentry repairs including doors, cabinets, frameworks, and fixtures.
  • Conduct light electrical maintenance including replacing ballasts, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs such as fixing minor leaks, clearing clogs, and replacing fixtures.
  • Complete HVAC preventative maintenance tasks including filter changes and basic inspections.
  • Perform painting, drywall patching, ceiling tile replacement, and other general repairs.
  • Install and repair door hardware including locks, hinges, and closures.
  • Respond to daily maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Conduct routine inspections and cleaning of storage, electrical, and mechanical rooms.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and upkeep of facility equipment.
  • Operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Assist with facility setup and breakdown for campus events and activities.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with operating facility equipment such as lifts, forklifts, and golf carts when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
