About The Position

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in Redmond, Washington. This individual will work under limited supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative and predictive maintenance using publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities and production equipment, as well as, perform general maintenance and other facilities assignments. All work will be performed with an emphasis on safety, as well as the environment.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior facilities/maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior facilities/maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Effective computer skills and literacy.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Monitoring Systems.
  • Working knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, move, and repair of various machinery and shop equipment including but not limited to CNC lathes, mills, grinders, presses, curing ovens, coating equipment, automatic welders, and hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform general building and grounds maintenance.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical and plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Perform carpentry work.
  • Report issues and out of control conditions to supervision/management; evaluate, prioritize, and complete requests for repair.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance.
  • Modify equipment.
  • Lead others by providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Conduct inspections.
  • Make recommendations to supervision.
  • Assist in other areas of the facility as required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
