The Facilities Tech is responsible for performing general property maintenance and repairs efficiently under the direction of the Facilities Manager. This role involves meeting or exceeding company standards for cleanliness, cost control, safety, physical condition, and resident satisfaction related to the overall maintenance of the property. Key duties include daily and weekly maintenance services such as responding to resident work orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization of common areas, inspecting buildings, and improving curb appeal. Monthly and seasonal tasks involve performing maintenance during apartment turnovers, preparing and following preventative maintenance schedules, and replacing batteries, light bulbs, and filters. The position also encompasses a wide range of building repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, moving furnishings, snow shoveling, appliance inspection/installation, yard work, carpet removal, and roofing repairs. The Facilities Tech will also manage maintenance supply inventory, obtain approvals for purchases, and may assist at other company properties or rotate on-call responsibilities.
