The Opportunity Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and/or formal training in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial facility and lab equipment in a Micro Electronics or relevant lab environment. This position requires a high degree of independence and problem-solving ability. What You Will Do As a key member of our Facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring our site's infrastructure, equipment, and systems are reliable, safe, and compliant. Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on critical facility infrastructure and laboratory equipment. Manage the company vehicle and fork truck maintenance programs to ensure operational readiness and safety. Execute general facility maintenance as needed, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other building repairs. Assist in developing and implementing long-term preventative maintenance and equipment reliability strategies. Coordinate all aspects of external contractor support, from developing the project scope and acquiring competitive bids to managing procurement and onboarding. Support EHS and Employee Resource Group (ERG) initiatives to acquire and maintain full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular inspections, monitoring, and reporting for various safety programs and equipment. Assist in the development and maintenance of monitoring programs for solid waste generation and water discharge, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and corporate policies. Implement and enforce company procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair essential building systems, including the Building Management System (BMS), card access, CCTV, and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Manage and update the repository of record drawings and schematics. Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, utilizing the CMMS and other documentation systems to maintain clear records.

Requirements

  • BS in a related mechanical engineering, automation, or related technical field strongly preferred; High School Diploma required.
  • Formal vocational and/or on-the-job training in HVAC&R, Electrical, or a related technical field required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a commercial/industrial manufacturing facility environment.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) programming and equipment diagnostics with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experienced in general maintenance activities
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred
