In this position you will provide support for our employees across our Main Office, Branch and subsidiary locations. Position Overview As a Facilities Support Assistant you are responsible for ensuring all UniBank locations are operationally ready for business each day. Areas of focus are: safety, minor repairs, and issue escalation to ensure problems are addressed before they have a chance to worsen.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Alum of local trade/technical schools preferred.
  • Prior experience with general building maintenance and grounds maintenance a plus.
  • Experience with building/mechanical maintenance preferred.
  • Various construction trade knowledge and experience helpful.
  • Valid Driver’s license required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors and outside contractors.
  • Strict adherence to deadlines a must.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for utilizing work ticket system to resolve problems associated with building services. Including but is not limited to janitorial, parking, vending, interior and exterior furnishings, fixtures and equipment issues.
  • Perform daily inspections of main office building & branch including equipment and grounds to ensure preventive repairs and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment are in good working order, as required.
  • Own troubleshooting of existing equipment.
  • Perform required minor and/or moderate repairs and general maintenance of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment may involve carpentry, plumbing, and painting/ wallpapering tasks.
  • Ensure outside services are properly completed in accordance with contracts and work orders.
  • Perform general receiving functions, accepting or signing for deliveries of supplies or documents.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels to avoid bottlenecks and waste of outdated supplies.
  • Act as company liaison for external inspection companies, such as fire department, alarm provider, insurance carriers.
  • Assist with mail processing and courier bags to ensure timely delivery of incoming and outgoing mail. Collect and bring mail to Post Office.
  • Assist with company records retention (physical removal, storage and transport to other corporate facilities) program and secure shredding of confidential documents.
  • Contribute to the success of the department with willingness to share in all department responsibilities and provide back- up assistance, as required or assigned.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
