About The Position

Moss New York is seeking a highly organized, hands-on, and service-oriented Facilities Supervisor to support the Facilities Manager in overseeing the maintenance, housekeeping operations, safety, and day-to-day functionality of our private members’ club in New York City. This role is integral to ensuring Moss’s physical spaces consistently meet the highest standards of presentation, performance, and safety. The Facilities Supervisor plays a critical operational role, acting as a bridge between front-line facilities teams, vendors, and management. This position supports daily facilities operations, assists with maintenance coordination, and helps ensure that all building systems, public spaces, and back-of-house areas operate seamlessly to deliver an exceptional experience for members, guests, and staff. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a high-touch hospitality environment, brings strong technical and organizational skills, and takes pride in maintaining beautiful, functional spaces. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in facilities operations, building maintenance, or hospitality operations (luxury or high-end commercial environments preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and safety standards.
  • Proven ability to supervise vendors or facilities staff in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable using facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond calmly to urgent issues.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Manager in coordinating preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool, sauna, and mechanical components.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the property to identify maintenance needs, cleanliness issues, and safety concerns.
  • Assist in maintaining maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records to ensure accountability and compliance.
  • Respond to urgent facilities issues during operating hours, escalating as appropriate.
  • Support oversight of housekeeping and janitorial teams to ensure all public and back-of-house areas meet Moss New York’s cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Ensure restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, and shared spaces are consistently clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
  • Assist with scheduling, coverage, and quality control for outsourced cleaning services.
  • Assist in supervising third-party vendors and contracted service providers, including maintenance, janitorial, waste removal, and security partners.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure work is completed to standard, on time, and within scope.
  • Support contract compliance, work order tracking, and service follow-ups.
  • Assist with planning and executing small- to mid-scale facilities projects, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Coordinate vendor access, scheduling, and on-site supervision during projects.
  • Ensure all work aligns with brand standards and operational needs.
  • Support compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist with safety inspections, fire drills, and maintenance of required certifications and documentation.
  • Help monitor building access systems and coordinate with security teams as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring facility systems and utilities to support efficiency and cost control.
  • Help manage facilities-related inventory, tools, and supply procurement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
