About The Position

The Facilities Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and overall performance of facility infrastructure and equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include managing facility preventive maintenance programs, coordinating work schedules, diagnosing and resolving facility-related issues, and leading a high-performing maintenance team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance and supervisory experience, food industry or industrial utilities preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Working knowledge in the design, manufacture, installation, and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of electrical power distribution and control, hydraulics, pneumatics, steam generation, and refrigeration.
  • Formal training in a mechanical-related trade or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OSHA and Food Safety regulations is preferred.
  • Experience in establishing a strong program foundation and ensured its continued maintenance and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and promotes a positive and proactive safety culture. Ensures a safe and healthy work environment and safe work practices. Ensures full compliance with all applicable company and regulatory environmental, health and safety requirements. Ensure maintenance technicians are trained in safety policies and procedures, aware of safety requirements and accountable for working safely.
  • Promotes and supports all food safety and quality policies, procedures, and initiatives. Ensures compliance with all food safety regulations and internal requirements. Actively participates in audits and promptly addresses corrective actions and issues.
  • Supervises facilities technicians to ensure efficient coverage of Facilities support 24/7.
  • Implements and supervises the facility preventive maintenance (P.M.) program. Schedules break-in of work for optimum utilization of manpower and equipment.
  • Assists with the coordination of all facilities projects so completion complies with standards, goals, and budgets. Prioritizes non-routine work orders based on need, risk cost, and efficiency.
  • Engages and oversees contractors and outside technical expertise as required.
  • Supervise the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all building systems, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, hydraulic, steam, compressed air, and structural components.
  • Establishes and maintains physical and electronic technical library.
  • Assists with internal and external food safety and other audits and inspections then maintaining appropriate records.
  • Respond to facility-related emergencies and coordinate corrective actions in a timely and efficient manner. Participate in emergency planning and preparedness activities related to facility infrastructure. Weekend work may be required.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory (WISHA, OSHA, PSM, RMP, HAZMAT, USDA, FDA, and EPA) requirements.
