About The Position

Assists in planning, coordinating and supervising overall operation and maintenance of buildings and grounds. Organizes work, estimates worker-hour requirements and delegates work to technicians within the area. Schedules preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (mechanical, electrical, etc.). Trains technicians in general repair and maintenance, using operating manuals, work orders and blueprints. Assists technicians as needed with maintenance calls, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of various utility systems. Requirements

  • Experience leading teams across a variety of specialties (specifically in Electrical, HVAC, and/or Plumbing – Mechanical)
  • Experience working in a complex health care environment
  • Experience with CMMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other basic computer software
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
  • Effective communication skills and experience
  • High School Diploma or GED Required. Associate's Degree in applicable discipline preferred.
  • May require a valid Indiana driver?s license with proof of insurance.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of specialized areas including electrical secondary systems, plumbing systems, fire system devices, air systems and HVAC related systems.
  • Requires ability to read and interpret information from complex blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
  • Requires an in depth knowledge of hazardous material management, NFPA Life Safety Code, State Fire Marshall and NFPA 99 requirements.
  • Requires comprehensive understanding of codes and regulations associated with maintenance utility operation including the requirements of the JCAHO, SDOH, OSHA, and other federal, state and local agencies.
  • Requires a minimum of 1 year relevant experience leading teams and 5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or other utility systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support day shift HVAC, Electrician, and Equipment tech teams with daily needs
  • Collaborate and partner with Facilities leadership on projects and initiatives
  • Monitor Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance work order completions to ensure work is being completed correctly and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to provide support
