They largely support the members of the Facilities and Maintenance team to help meet company goals. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to the team in various projects and tasks related to the maintenance, operation, and improvement of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing processes and utilities equipment. Measures of success: Updates and marks facility drawings Performs assisted maintenance on time Maintains and organizes inventory levels to keep at minimum on-hand

Requirements

  • Junior or Senior enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Industrial, or Facilities Engineering
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Understanding of safety regulations and commitment to adhering to safety protocols

Nice To Haves

  • Basic statistical analysis techniques preferred
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Shadows a maintenance tech/engineer and performs assisted general building maintenance under close supervision
  • Performs assisted maintenance and minor repair work and asset cleaning
  • Performs general labor work as assigned by the supervisor
  • Learns to troubleshoot minor HVAC, minor electrical, and maintenance issues
  • Practices safe work habits at all times
  • Organizes work area(s) as needed
