About The Position

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Facilities Service Technician to support 24/7 operations at our Indianapolis, IN site. This role is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical building and plant systems that support research, laboratory, and greenhouse operations. The position will begin on day shift for training , then transition to 2nd shift , including weekends and holidays. Please note: NO visa Sponsorship offered NO relocation offered Role is 100% onsite at the Indianapolis site.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Hands-on experience with building systems (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration)
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; able to learn new systems quickly
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., climb ladders/stairs, work at heights, and walk up to 3 miles daily
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and noisy environments
  • Ability to wear PPE including respirators (PAPR/N95); must pass required medical testing
  • Willingness to work in cold areas and around chemicals, radiation, and biohazard controls

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years supporting facilities equipment (boilers, chillers, HVAC)
  • Experience in power plants, hospitals, or industrial/research environments
  • Refrigeration or electrical experience
  • Boiler Operator Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Universal Refrigeration License
  • Fork Truck License

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain building systems including boilers, chillers, air handlers, water treatment systems, and building management systems (BMS)
  • Monitor alarms, driving around campus to respond to system issues, and perform troubleshooting and repairs
  • Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
  • Take equipment readings and perform system analysis (boilers, cooling towers, DI/RO water)
  • Interact with scientists, lab staff, contractors, and facilities teams to support operations
  • Enter, track, and manage work orders using a computerized maintenance system
  • Follow safe work practices including energy isolation, confined space, and permit processes
  • Support continuous improvement using Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles
