About The Position

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Facilities Security Monitor (level I, II, or III). This position will be located in Rolla, MO. Summary: Facilities Security personnel monitor facilities and operational systems including, but not limited to, fire monitoring/suppression, access controls, manufacturing processes, closed circuit video, Building Automation System (BAS), and other operational systems. They are responsible for improving operational safety and site security by reducing downtime and improving necessary detection and reactions.

Requirements

  • Facilities Security Monitor I: High School Diploma or equivalent or Formal training in security systems, law enforcement, military, or emergency response preferred but not required or An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Facilities Security Monitor II: High School Diploma or equivalent + 2 years of experience and Formal training in security systems, law enforcement, military, or emergency response preferred but not required or An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Facilities Security Monitor III: High School Diploma or equivalent + 4 years of experience and Formal training in security systems, law enforcement, military, or emergency response preferred but not required or An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilities Security Monitor I: Monitor facility systems and security cameras.
  • Perform monitoring patrols around premises to enforce facility regulations.
  • Make routine safety checks of buildings and equipment.
  • Document and report security incidents, breaches, or unusual activities that may cause safety concerns or hazards.
  • Address inquiries and assist individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provide detailed and accurate incident reports to supervisors.
  • Maintain effective communication with fellow security personnel.
  • Direct and or execute assigned immediate actions of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and participate in any safety and security drills.
  • Sound alarms and call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
  • Assist in coordinating with emergency services as necessary.
  • Facilities Security Monitor II: Same duties as Facilities Security Monitor I.
  • Utilize master keys to assist in employee access to office spaces.
  • Use alarms controls systems to assist with tests and repairs.
  • Assist additional security personnel as needed in the installation and repair of equipment.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting and repairs to system components such as cameras and access control panels.
  • Address minor security breaches or incidents such as vandalism of property, improperly checked-in visitors, or facility system bugs.
  • Issue visitor badges and facilitate secure visitor check-in and escort as needed.
  • Facilities Security Monitor III: Same duties as Facilities Security Monitor II.
  • Coordinate security patrols.
  • Mentor and guide junior security personnel in their duties and responsibilities.
  • Address progressively complex security breaches or incidents, such as unauthorized personnel access, nonoperational facilities systems, or stolen property.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of security protocols.
  • Stay updated on the latest security technologies and industry best practices.
  • Take a leadership role in emergency response situations.
  • Investigate and manage security incidents in a thorough and professional manner.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of security equipment, such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and communication devices.
  • Observe and report non-compliances within operational systems.
  • Report any system malfunctions or damage promptly and assist in arranging further testing or repairs.
  • Access security camera recordings as necessary to facilitate security event investigations.
