About The Position

The Facilities Resort Grounds team member supports the cleanliness and presentation of Sand Valley Resort by monitoring and collecting waste and debris across designated areas of the property. This role helps maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for guests and team members by ensuring outdoor spaces, guest areas, and service locations remain clean and well maintained.

Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner, and professional appearance in all situations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early morning, daytime, and evening shifts, as well as weekends.
  • Valid Driver’s License. Must meet company driving record guidelines and safety policy.
  • Must be able to: Read and write in English.
  • Communicate verbally with staff members with or without the use of two-way radios.
  • Give and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Visually inspect vehicle surroundings and work areas.
  • Walk on uneven surfaces frequently, climb and utilize ladders in accordance with all safety procedures.
  • Operate vehicles for extended periods including long-distance travel.
  • Lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, including lifting materials above shoulder height when disposing of waste into dumpsters, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Facilities Manager and follow the assigned route and schedule to collect and dispose of waste from resort food outlets, clubhouses, guest buildings, drop-off zones, and parking areas.
  • Monitor assigned areas of the resort and remove debris to maintain a clean and well-kept environment.
  • Operate assigned vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with resort safety protocols.
  • Identify and report issues that may impact the ability to complete the assigned route or schedule.
  • Address or report conditions that may negatively affect the guest experience in the areas being monitored.
  • Assist other Facilities team members with routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Notify the Facilities Manager of maintenance or repair needs observed while performing daily responsibilities.
  • Maintain assigned company vehicles in a clean, presentable, and well-maintained condition in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support Facilities operations.
