About The Position

As a Project Manager specializing in healthcare facilities at JLL, you will serve as an extension of our client's Facilities Management department, focusing on managing small capital projects across multiple healthcare sites throughout Cook County. This role ensures seamless execution while maintaining operational continuity in these critical environments. You'll serve as the primary point of contact between contractors, vendors, facility staff, and healthcare stakeholders while coordinating with clinical departments to minimize disruptions to patient care during construction activities. Your expertise in healthcare-specific regulations and facility operations will be essential in ensuring all projects comply with ICRA, ILSM, TJC, and IDPH requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years specifically in healthcare environments
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements and facility operations
  • Experience managing projects in occupied healthcare settings
  • Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical specifications
  • Expert knowledge of healthcare construction protocols (ICRA, ILSM)

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple small to medium-sized capital improvement projects simultaneously across various healthcare facilities
  • Serve as primary point of contact between contractors, vendors, facility staff, and healthcare stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations while coordinating with clinical departments
  • Ensure all projects comply with healthcare-specific regulations (ICRA, ILSM, TJC, IDPH)
  • Prepare and present regular project status updates to key stakeholders
  • Manage bidding process, contractor selection, and contract administration
  • Conduct site inspections to verify quality and compliance with project specifications
  • Process invoices and manage financial aspects of assigned projects while documenting project changes and maintaining accurate records
