Seeking a Facilities Engineer to support semiconductor fab expansion activities, with primary responsibility for facilities engineering required to safely execute tool moves, tool installs, and infrastructure upgrades in an operating fab. This role coordinates skilled trades, ensures EHS and security compliance, and partners closely with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, EHS, and Security to deliver projects on schedule and without disrupting production.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
  • 5+ years of semiconductor fab facilities or tool install experience.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of cleanroom utility systems and hazardous production materials.
  • Experience managing contractors and skilled trades in an operating fab.
  • Strong focus on safety, communication, and execution in fast‑paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead facilities scopes for fab expansion projects including tool moves, new tool installs, and utility upgrades.
  • Translate OEM facility requirements into executable tie‑ins for gases, chemicals, UPW/Waste, exhaust, HVAC, vacuum, CDA, and electrical systems.
  • Plan and execute tool de‑installs/re‑installs, cutovers, and shutdown activities in live cleanroom environments.
  • Coordinate and oversee skilled trades (mechanical, electrical, controls, high‑purity piping), ensuring work quality and schedule adherence.
  • Develop and approve MOPs, LOTO plans, lift plans, and construction safety documentation.
  • Enforce EHS, fire/life safety, and semiconductor safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, SEMI).
  • Partner with site Security to manage secure‑area work, vendor access, and compliance with access controls.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and turnover of new systems with complete documentation and as‑builts.
  • Troubleshoot facility/tool interface issues and drive corrective actions.
