About The Position

As a Painter with JLL, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality results that help maintain and enhance the spaces we manage. Working on-site in the Tuskegee area, you’ll be responsible for preparing and painting a variety of surfaces to exact specifications, ensuring projects meet our standards of excellence. This is a full-time, year-round position where your skills will contribute to creating environments that support productivity and wellbeing. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Up to 2 years of painting, finishing, or related experience.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders, blueprints, and safety guidelines.
  • Basic math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, with ability to measure accurately using a tape measure.
  • Competence in using hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety.
  • Capacity to work Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30PM, with potential for overtime.
  • To be considered for this position, candidates must be current members of the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 599 or willing to become members within 30 to 90 days of hire.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with both solvent and water-based paint applications using spray equipment.
  • Skilled in mixing paints and matching colors for specialized projects.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques for diverse materials.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare walls, fixtures, and other surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes.
  • Apply solvent and water-based paints to metal and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Mix paints accurately and match colors to required specifications.
  • Conduct touch-ups or participate in larger-scale painting projects to maintain consistent quality.
  • Follow safety protocols and standard work instructions, ensuring work is completed on time and to specification.
  • Maintain clean work areas and organized tools to support efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to solve challenges, embodying JLL’s culture of collaboration and innovation.
