About The Position

The Facilities Painter plays a critical role in maintaining the visual quality, durability, and overall presentation of the Snowmass Club property. This position is responsible for interior and exterior painting, staining, wall coverings, touch-ups, and minor surface repairs—ensuring all spaces are clean, polished, and welcoming for members, guests, and staff. Working collaboratively with the Engineering team, the Painter supports both day-to-day maintenance and larger renovation or improvement projects while upholding safety, quality, and YESpitality standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Four (4) or more years of painting experience in a commercial, institutional, hospitality, or resort environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and materials
  • Experience with wood staining, refinishing, and touch-up work
  • High attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Strong safety awareness, including ventilation, PPE, and material handling

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with wallpaper application, faux finishes, or decorative painting a plus
  • Basic carpentry and drywall repair skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

  • Assist with coaching, training, and mentoring new or less experienced team members
  • Maintain a polite, professional demeanor with members, guests, and staff
  • Prepare surfaces through sanding, patching, priming, sealing, and cleaning
  • Apply paint, stain, varnish, lacquer, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, trim, furniture, and fixtures
  • Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve high-quality, consistent finishes
  • Perform touch-ups and preventative maintenance on existing painted surfaces
  • Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections in drywall, plaster, and other materials
  • Remove old or damaged finishes using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Perform minor drywall and plaster repairs related to painting projects
  • Ensure all surfaces remain free from peeling, cracking, fading, or deterioration
  • Assist with minor carpentry or repairs connected to painting work
  • Maintain clean, organized, and secure workspaces and storage areas
  • Properly store, label, and dispose of paints, chemicals, and materials
  • Follow all OSHA, safety, and environmental guidelines, including proper PPE use
  • Collaborate with Engineering on renovation, capital, and improvement projects
  • Perform assigned duties during emergency situations as needed
  • Seek ongoing training and skill development
  • Ensure the safety of members, guests, staff, and property at all times
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by Engineering Management
